On 9th February 2023, in Racale, at the premises of Ready Community Library, from 18:00 to 20:30, will take place the event ENERGY FESTIVAL: Le Comunità Energetiche e Info Day, organized by the Municipality of Racale, in collaboration with Studio Sigma s.r.l., as part of the Co-Clean project "Co-designed and implementation of local sustainable energy action”, funded by the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania Montenegro Programme 2014/2020.
The objective of the CO-CLEAN project, part of Priority Axis 3, Specific Objective 3.2 "Promoting innovative practices and tools to reduce carbon emission and to improve energy efficiency in public sector", is to increase energy efficiency and use of renewable energies in the territories involved through the implementation of innovative and consolidated actions and training and awareness activities.
The initiative, focused on the topic of Renewable Energy Communities (REC) and on the importance of Energy Transition, aims to raise awareness and generate a positive change in the behavior of citizens and stakeholders with reference to the sustainable use of energy resources and the reduction of emissions of CO2, the negative impact caused by climate change and the disparities in know-how between the territories involved, creating a permanent network to encourage the constant exchange of good practices, data and information to combat global warming.
After the institutional greetings of Donato Metallo, Regional Councilor, Antonio Salsetti, Mayor of Racale and Riccardo Rossi, Mayor of Brindisi, the part dedicated to the presentation of the project and its results will be followed by the interventions of Gianfranco Manco, Project Manager of the Municipality of Racale for the CO-CLEAN project, Roberto Paladini, Chief Executive Officer di InnovAction Soc. Coop. and expert in the circular economy and environmental sustainability sector and Stefania Manzo, Principal of the Comprehensive Institute of Racale "Angelo Vassallo". A second part, on the other hand, will be dedicated to the Renewable Energy Communities (REC) and to the tools to support the Energy Transition, with the intervention of Mario Gamberale, Technical Coordinator of the Kyoto Club and Head of the Renewable Sources working group. The event will end with a dialogue session with the administrators of the public bodies.
